History was one of my favourite subjects at school and I`m still intrigued by the past today. I`ll happily sit and watch historic documentaries on the television all day long and any books that I can find on the times gone by are certainly of interest to me. People in general are intrigued by the past and due to this, artifacts from many moons ago are more popular now then they have ever been. On a recent trip to York I called into the museum as they had a collection of Antique Prints on display. Quite a number of the prints were caricatures that dated back to the 17 and 1800s. They depict the satire of the time in which they were created and plenty of them had political undertones. Today Antique Prints such as these are highly desirable and they are snapped up by collectors from all corners of the globe. Dedicated dealers often specialise in prints of this nature and they sell original items from their well stocked stores. Being a fan of all things historic I find the Antique Prints to be charming and could quite easily see a few of them taking up residency on the walls of my home.
